钢铁就在我们身边。生活当中，随处都可以看到钢铁的身影，到处到可以感受到钢铁的亲切！从1889年巴黎世博会的埃菲尔铁塔，到2010年上海世博会的“东方之冠”中国馆，世博的精彩有钢铁的奉献！我们的生活，以及我们生活的城市，都离不开钢铁。钢铁，铸就了城市的钢筋铁骨，成就了世界的速度和高度。这是我们钢铁人的自豪。
Steel is all around us. In daily life, we can get a sight of steel and feel the familiarity with steel everywhere. From the Eifel Tower in the World Expo 1889 Paris to the China Pavilion of “Crown of the East” in the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China, steel makes great contribution to the splendid World Expo. Steel is indispensable to our life and cities. Steel casts the bones and muscles of cities and accomplishes the speed and height of the world. This is the pride of people engaged in steel industry.
宝钢已建成为我国钢铁精品制造基地和新技术、新材料研发基地。宝钢的建设及其科技进步，有力地支撑了我国城市建设、能源开发等重大工程建设，和汽车、家电等与人民生活息息相关的重点产业发展。从高等级高强度汽车板到节能环保型取向硅钢，宝钢的技术创新能力有了质的飞跃；从奥运鸟巢到上海世博场馆，宝钢精品钢材让我们的城市越来越美好。这是我们宝钢人的责任。
Baosteel has developed into a quality steel manufacturing base as well as a R&D base of new technologies and materials in China. Baosteel and its scientific and technological advancement effectively support the construction of key projects in China such as urban construction and energy development, as well as the development of key industries closely linked to people’s life such as automobile, household appliances, etc. From the auto sheet with high grade and high strength to the energy saving & eco-friendly oriented silicon steel, Baosteel has taken a qualitative leap in technical innovation ability. From the Bird’s Nest of 2008 Olympics to the pavilions of the World Expo Shanghai, Baosteel provides quality steel that is making our cities better and better. 以产品的全生命周期评价来剖析，钢铁材料是绿色的。实现钢铁业的绿色发展，必须实现“两个转型”：实现钢铁企业功能的转型，即由单纯的产品制造功能向具有钢铁产品制造功能、能源转换功能和社会大宗废弃物处理消纳功能的生态型钢铁企业转变；实现发展模式的转型，致力环境经营、走低碳发展道路。技术创新是绿色发展、环境经营的必然之路。
According to the evaluation on the whole life circle of products, steel is green. For the green development of steel industry, “two transformations” must be realized. One is to realize the transformation of steel enterprises from pure products manufacturers to ecotype steel enterprises with functions of steel product manufacturing, energy conversion and social bulk waste disposal. The other one is to realize the transformation of development mode into one dedicated to environmental management and adhering to the path of low-carbon development. Technical innovation is the only way to green development and environmental management.
绿色钢铁，让城市更美好。这是我们钢铁人、宝钢人的努力方向。
Green steel makes cities better. This is the aim of our Baosteel staff and all the people engaged in steel industry as a whole.
