素帕猜•巴尼巴迪
联合国贸易和发展会议秘书长
素帕猜•巴尼巴迪 联合国贸易和发展会议秘书长。1946年生于泰国曼谷。曾任泰国副总理兼商业部长。2002年9月,成为第一位担任世界贸易组织总干事的亚洲人,推动了多哈谈判,为发展中国家的经济发展和推进联合国千年发展目标的实现作出了贡献。 2005年5月,第59届联大任命素帕猜为联合国贸易和发展会议秘书长,同年9月1日正式就任,任期4年。素帕猜崇尚中国文化,爱好下象棋,著有《中国与世贸组织:改变着中国,也改变着世界贸易》一书。

Supachai Panitchpakdi, born in 1946 in Bangkok, Thailand, former Vice Premier and Minister of Commerce of Thailand, is the Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)., In September 2002, he served as Director-General of the World Trade Organization,. As the first Asian taking the position, he promoted Doha Round negotiations and made contribution to the economic development of developing countries and the promotion of UN Millennium Development Goals realization. In May 2005, Supachai was appointed as Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) by the 59th Session of the UN General Assembly, and assumed office on September 1 of the same year with a term of 4 years. Supachai is interested in Chinese culture, and likes playing Chinese chess. Once he wrote a book titled “China and the WTO: Changing China, Changing World Trade”.
